  I am indian and every point you told is true. I would suggest everyone to skip north and visit extreme north like himachal, uttarakhand, ladakh, Arunachal, sikkim. Your experience would have been lot better.

  Let me add few more points.<br><br>Even if u want to visit Taj, start from south India then go northwards. Get accustomed to India first. North is sensory overload.<br><br>On arrival to India, get UPI wallet installed in your phone. It will save a lot of trouble for carrying cash and finding ATM&apos;s. International cards are not accepted at lot of places.<br><br>Places like Varanasi are not touristic places. Visit only if you are deep into Hindu religion.<br><br>Places in the Himalayas, Goa, Kerala, western ghats, north eastern states and Andmans will show you totally different India. It will be much pleasant experience than doing typical Delhi, Jaipur, Agra tour. Mumbai is also not a touristic place.

  I had a similar experience in London. We were eating &nbsp;without spoons and people were staring at us. Someone also said in the background - Go back to where you came from. My wife was so scared. She asked - what&apos;s wrong with eating fish and chips with bare hands. She didnt realise that we just faced racism

  I was born and raised in Maharashtra. &nbsp;Did all my schooling in Nashik. &nbsp;You really nailed it. &nbsp;My little sister is buried in Ooty. &nbsp;My brother is buried in Mahableswar. &nbsp;I survived and love to cook Indian food all the time. &nbsp;I live in Tampa, Florida. &nbsp;I have longed to return to India and visit....and I have lived all over the world. &nbsp;But....what can I say....I always ask myself, &quot;Is it worth it?&quot;.....So we usually opt for visiting our son in Hawaii.
