It's important to not treat these things like gospel - people have their own experiences. And their experiences qualify their experiences. Someone who's been cheated on will say "If I can just find someone loyal". Someone who's self-confident will not feel the same need for validation as someone who was always healthily loved, etc.. so many of the things that she's passing off as just not good enough would be someone else's dream come true. Not saying they are better or worse.

My wife and I met at 18 years old, in college. We were acquaintances and friends but we didn’t really get to know each other and start dating until we were 24. Married a few years later. It’s been 10 years now, and we have three young children. My point is, we’ve known each other for a long time. But, when I think of my wedding day, I feel like we barely knew each other compared to now. Dating for 6 months or 6 years is no indication of failure or success in marriage.

She makes some good point, but if she’s a newlywed and got engaged after six months, she hasn’t been with her current partner for that long at all. She said her prior relationship took work, as if her current relationship would not. Would be interesting to follow up in the future.

19:19 being single is the best thing you can do for yourself before getting into a serious relationship. You have to invest in family, friends, and community so that you don’t end up pouring your whole identity into the other person.

I love that he looks like he's genuinely taking notes. We also need to normalize not obsessing over life milestone timelines.
