The consciousness and the economic standing of black people has grown and evolved. We eat better food now because we've learned that those foods weren't the best for us but our grandparents and great grandparents did not have much money and resources were very limited so they made do with what they had. Fat back and neck bone, and smothered pork chops and fried chicken ain't shit to be nostalgic about. That was our folks making the best of bad economic situations. I ain't eating that shit.
