It's utter insanity that anyone can stand for election without being a permanent resident. Its dangerous and should be viewed as a national security issue and swiftly corrected.

"Why did the Greens bring a queer Tamil immigrant into Holyrood?" Simple really. The Greens are like nerdy not-very-bright teenagers who want to shock mummy and daddy. As well as being really quite dim, they are also very middle-class with a strong desire to support any new extreme socially liberal policy that is trending on social media.

In Australia even citizens cannot be MP's if they hold dual citizenship in another country. Non-citizens? No way.

This candidate should not have been allowed to stand fir mp as dosent have a valid British passport in the Scottish parliament. We the Scottish people want him gone.

It has always struck me as bizarre that a young Scot who wants the experience of studying abroad , perhaps going to a US university for 3 years , while fully intending to return to live in Scotland , loses their right to vote for the Scottish parliament. And as shown here a person on a student visa can not only vote but make potentially irreversible decisions about the future of Scotland. That seems to run counter to nationalism.
