Of course they would keep the original stonecutter block even if it doesn&apos;t function anymore. Kinda like how they made the crafting recipes into a book so you can use it for adventure maps

  The Crash Slab triggers an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException in Java, this happens because the game uses the slab&apos;s metadata as an index to find its name in a specific array. Since the array size is 4 (indices 0-3) (in beta Minecraft), any metadata value above 3 attempts to access a memory slot that doesn&apos;t exist, causing the game to crash.

  Fun fact: The stonecutter is still in Minecraft 3DS edition because it&apos;s actually a &quot;port&quot; (not really, but heavily based on the code of) Pocket Edition.

  I had a minecraft poster as a kid that had the smooth stone block along with a lot of other blocks on it and it always confused me on how to get it. Glad that mystery is finally solved almost 15 years later, lol

  In a world full of loud and insipid Minecraft content, this channel has quickly become one of my favorites. It really can’t be understated how much more enjoyable Minecraft videos are when your face isn’t being screamed at.

  This was my favorite thing about old Minecraft growing up. Finding weird anachronisms and anomalies caused by oversights, and then being able to like collect and display them, and use them in builds
