The thing that few get about Agincourt is that few of the arrows could penetrate well. So the French were dinged all over, had fallen from a horse, and the armored boots were being sucked down hard by the mud. The English were in bare feet, having lost their boots to the mud, but could walk.

Perfect portrayal of this in film is Braveheart. I know that movie is mostly fiction but if you look at what the Scottish army soldiers are carrying as weapons compared to the English you can see all kinds of weapons other than swords or axes

Greetings from Romania. First tye flail and war scythe should be higher on the list. Second is worth mentioning the falx as ancestor if the war scythe. We did not need to modify our scythes to go to war.
