Thank God this was 2016 😂 Ten years later, BMW M division has been all over the place, the XM, the giant grilles, the cheap-looking screen interiors, electric M cars…Watching this feels like a reminder of when M still knew exactly what it wanted to be

E46 M3 for me. Owned an LSB 6MT coupe 12 years ago. Regret selling that car every day. IMO, it’s the perfect M3. No cost cutting on the interior, beautiful exterior without the angry-face overkill aero etc. Smooth lines. A raspy Inline-6 that loves to rev. Excellent GETRAG 6-speed. Superb handling off and on the track in stock form. And also, decently reliable for a motorsport-derived engine. And they’re only going to increase in value too.

I was a teenager during the late 80s and early 90s. The E30 and E36 were dream cars to us. And acutally still are for me. I was lucky enough to own a E36 for 2,5 years (till i ran out of money during my college time..). Still the purest driving experience for me. Natural aspirated inline 6, a 6 gear manuel, not to heavy, great shifting and most important: great sound (with no exhaust screaming nonsense like today) and great road handling..
