Evangelio según San Mateo - El Evangelio según Mateo y la Vida de Jesús - Bíblia Latinoamericana

The Gospel according to Saint Matthew is one of the four gospels of the New Testament of the Christian Bible. Written by the apostle Matthew, who was a tax collector turned follower of Jesus, this gospel gives a detailed account of the life, teachings, and miracles of Jesus. The Gospel begins with Jesus' birth in Bethlehem and the visit of the wise magi. As Jesus grows up, he is revealed as the Messiah promised in the Jewish Scriptures. Matthew presents Jesus' sermons, including the famous Sermon on the Mount, in which the beatitudes and teachings on love and justice are taught. Saint Matthew records several miracles performed by Jesus, such as the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, the calming of the storm, and the resurrection of the dead. It also narrates Jesus' interactions with religious leaders and authorities, who challenge him and seek his death. The Gospel according to Saint Matthew culminates with Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. Matthew recounts Judas' betrayal, unjust trials, Jesus' suffering on the cross, and his victory over death by rising on the third day. This Gospel presents a profound picture of Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and as the Savior of humanity. It also emphasizes the importance of faith, repentance, and love for God and neighbor. In short, the Gospel according to St. Matthew is a powerful account of Jesus' life and messages, inviting followers to believe in Him, follow His teachings, and experience salvation through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection.
