As it turns out, the man whose car was crushed from the exploding whale? A WW2 veteran, Walter Umenhofer, with demolitions training who suggested against the twenty crates of TNT and advised that twenty sticks would be enough to split the carcass and thus vent out all the gases that made the sperm whale an explosives hazard. The road works department, being public service workers that decided to treat the whale like a rock quarry to reduce to gravel, ignored that advice and though the plan on paper - blowing the whale to giblets and letting scavenger animals handle the rest - would work.

After the mess up, the Navy had the temerity to tell the highway division they should have used double the TNT to get the results they wanted. Just to hammer the irony home, Walter Umenhofer got his Oldsmobile 88 Regency that was crushed for a "whale of a deal". He remarked, "My insurance company is not gonna believe this".

Despite him saying Arabian sand boas have "the bite of an old lady without her dentures in" they've still got teeth to grab the rodents and reptiles they need to stay alive in the desert and as someone who's been bitten by non venomous snakes I can say it's like getting poked by a bunch of needles but definitely way less painful than being bitten by a dog

So talking about wanting an archer fish in pokemon, turns out they have one…Remoraid, the dex entry says “it Spits water from its mouth with incredible accuracy. It captures bugs by shooting them down off the branches from which they dangle.”

Cutting the whale up would have been a decent idea. You just need to depressurize it first. Preferably from a save distance. With, i don't know, one of those guns everyone seems to have over there.
