LOB was filled with explosive personalities. It probably had the higher highs, but it was also destined to burn itself out just based on how they played. Those stars all got paid elsewhere or got injured so after those rookie contracts it was much harder to maintain. Dark Side seems much more cohesive and scheme related, so as long as Schneider can keep filling in pieces I would bet on this defense having more longevity. They need to hang onto Emmanwori though, because he's a unicorn.

I much prefer the darkside defense because they are way more connected in terms of brotherhood and accountability.

I would be willing to bet my money that even in the peak LOB days, if russ threw 4 picks and solo lost a game Richard Sherman would NOT defend him in a press conference.

its little things like that and having a generally more humble mentality, which I think also stems from the philosophical differences between Carrol and MacDonald.

i think Legion of Boom was a good chunk better but its cuz the core was already used to each other for a couple seasons
If the seahawks can keep their core talents and glue guys in that defensive unit they gon be a pain for a long time , some of these young guys that are in their 1st to 4th year are sooner or later hitting their next level or prime already.

The story of the Super Bowl was about drake maye losing when it should have been about the dark side winning.

It’s interesting how temporary solutions can outperform permanent ones.

08:20 This is why my Hawks chose Devon Witherspoon over Jalen Carter. He truly is a heat seeking missile!

Great video man we had a couple conversations in the comments towards midseason. No one believed me when I said I would take the Seahawks defense over any other defense in the entire league. Yes, even the Texans.

I like the 'Dark Side' moniker - it reminds me of the Khabib quote: "I take people into deep waters and they discover themselves."

I think the Seahawks should use the helmets they used against the Rams in the Thursday night game. It's like a metalic teal .

The biggest thing that prevented the Legion of Boom Seahawks from becoming a dynasty is that there was too much conflict in the locker room, Sherman hated Russ and eventually it became the offense and defense hating each other, but The Dark Side and the Seahawks offense seem to have no issues at all, you even had Ernest Jones defending Sam Darnold after he played terribly against the Rams which caused them to lose, there’s much more camaraderie with this Seahawks squad so I think they could easily be a dynasty. You also could see this when comparing the sidelines of the Seahawks and Patriots while mic’d up, the Patriots defense was very angry at Drake Maye, even skirting any responsibility for their loss
