Hobonichi is a luxury price at this point.
Ive seen many hop to alternatives especially with certain hobonichi notebooks still having inconsistent paper.

It might be affordable with those having a very good job or those who have stationary as a job but I have seen quite a few people saying they just can't afford them anymore

As a fellow autistic person, your discussion about cover designs really resonated with me. I need to be able to reach for my journal when Im overstimulated so the busy designs are beautiful but definitely counterproductive for me! Also I loved the section where you talked about the key! I find your videos soothing and inspiring ❤🫶

Love to see new uploads from you!
For your hand cramping, did it start around the time you weren’t feeling well? I’m an occupational therapist, so I work a lot with hands, and when my clients are ill, that fatigue will often affect your hands, as well. And weaker hand muscles = easier cramping.
If your cramping doesn’t improve with your new notebook, try taking breaks to do hand stretches. Or see it as a sign that your hands need a little rest and come back later :)

Cover ended up looking very calming and inviting
I also think a smaller key will make things definitely easier too, so good luck with that

Ahhh, so excited to see you trying out a Midori notebook! 🥹I hope you enjoy this notebook more this time around! I love how you set it up, and u appreciated your key explanation. I’ve always gotten bogged down with trying to come up with a key, and I’m thinking maybe part of my issue was trying to come up with too many categories!

i love your minimalist aesthetic but also your minimalist mindset! i've definitely purchased / used stationery items that i really didn't need to, so its so great to see you being so resourceful and reflective of your practice! :)

I thank you so much for all your tips; they help me a lot as I start writing a journal and I particularly appreciate that you organize your writings with legends (the small round stichers).

love the way you set up your midori 💙 and the cream paper on midori is so cozy and warm. both books are so special and i think it's so fun to experiment!

Honestly my md journal was finicky too until I realize the oils in my hand make my fountain pen not write properly. Haha so silly but I never really thought of it until someone figured it out! I use a DIY blotting paper (brown paper bag or watercolour paper) to pat the paper to rid of my oil!

would love a tour of your notebook ecosystem as well as your stationery pouch and fountain pen and inks! :D <3
