  That AI-generated dungeon: <br><br>(1) Has no room #2<br>(2) Has two rooms with at least two different markers (Kitchen/Mess Hall v. Alchemist&apos;s Workshop, Cistern v. Prison Block)<br>(3) looks to have two markers for the treasure vault<br>(4) has 2 places where the stairs don&apos;t line up <br>(5) has at least one doorwaythat goes nowhere<br><br>On top of also having no interconnection between its two branches, no sleeping quarters, and a couple of other flaws with placement of windows and water sourcing.

  D&amp;D is so synonymous with its industry, its branding has become the colloquial* title. Like band-aid or windex. I have not run a WOTC product since the OGL but everytime I explain what I do with my weekends it&apos;s starts with &quot;Have you ever heard of D&amp;D?&quot;<br><br>It&apos;s like &apos;coke&apos; in the southern US, &quot;want to play d&amp;d?&quot; &quot;Sure!   I used to spend hours with the Player&apos;s Handbook rolling up a character - to me, that too is &quot;playing&quot; D&amp;D.

  my hot take: auto-generating a character doesn&apos;t help a player to understand the character. filling out your choices by hand gives you a better grasp on it, especially for new players to understand what everything does and how things work on it.

  Hasbro forgot one thing:<br>RPG work, and got popular, because the DM was doing the heavy lifting using a very flexible game system.<br><br>You do NOT need Hasbro to play TTRPG. You need a game system, and there is dozens and dozens of good systems out there, and the content you can now make it up yourself.
