Thx! To the person quietly scrolling through the comments: I hope whatever you've been carrying begins to feel a little lighter, one day at a time. You don't have to have everything figured out today. Keep going—you're stronger than this moment may have you believe. You've got this—go chase those hard things and live fully. Rooting for you!

We can't see our own bias. We can learn a lot from looking in. We also need those people close to us and strangers to show us.

Some more of “my two cents worth”, lol. It is becoming so clear to me now that there will always be “the darkness before the dawn”, chaos before order, confusion before clarity. It will spiral, circling back around to see how we respond this time around. May we not resist the flow, not fight the laws of reality. That song comes to mind, “I fought the law, and the law won”. The laws of the “Universe” will always win. May we navigate them with as little suffering and as much joy as we allow ourselves! ❤️

“Until we make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” I am understanding that the madness is not a sign that I am broken and insane. It is a trip into the “basement” with a flashlight. It is a discovery of the “monsters who have been driving the bus”. My lifetime need to be seen as “good” caused me to deny the parts of myself that I felt I had to suppress. Concussions caused me to lose my “filters” and the DRAGON would come out. I could no longer hide the rage I had hidden. People used to comment, “You never get angry” as a compliment. I would sometimes, depending upon who they were to me, reply, “The anger is there, I just don’t let it come out”. I understand now why I so often felt trapped and would eventually “upset the apple cart” in total revolution against the life I found myself living. Escape the abusive marriage, call out dysfunction at work so they would fire me, and such. All because I lacked the ability to confront the reality I had created. I was complicit in my own destruction, playing the part of victim until it became too extreme to be maintained, and then I would revolt. Fear of abandonment made me tolerate increasingly cruel behavior from others. Instead of “growing a backbone” and putting a stop to it, I prided myself on how patient and forgiving I was. It was pathological. Until I learned what was driving my behavior, basically trauma responses, I was unable to do anything about it. Awareness, however, was only the first step.
