  My biggest thing is compairing what we spend in the RV vs what we spent in a house. Even though our mortgage wasn&apos;t too bad we had so much other expenses associated with the house. Another thing I considered is we would be maintaining a vehicle &nbsp;either way so really maybe 2/3 of that for me is really associated with the life. We blead a lot of cash getting things set up how we want but it is starting to settle down for us. I like how you broke your experience down.

  I’m an Army vet with 70% rating. &nbsp;The VA saved my life in so many ways. &nbsp; Highly encourage vets get in the VA system.

  I concur with the memberships. I paid for Escapees, FMCA, and Harvest Hosts.<br>All Escapees &amp; FMCA offered was frequent emails telling me what else they could sell me.<br>Harvest Hosts cost $100 per year plus $30 / night to use. Most were wineries &amp; vegetable stands. <br>The attractions I was interested in - and were along my route - didn’t respond 25% of the time. I used it 4 times in 2 years. I may join it again (I’m full-time and boondock &amp; lotdock 98% of the time).

  Our first year was chaotic too as we were on vacation mode - moving quickly and eating out a lot. Not only was it expensive, it was exhausting! We settled into a nice pace now and still love our nomadic life. We love our Thousand Trails membership and it’s paid for itself twice. On the east coast, we don’t have as many boondocking opportunities. Nice video - thanks for sharing.
