  II bought a HD Electra glide and rode from Fort Lauderdale to Alaska , and back to Key West  14500 miles in 7 weeks For my 75 th birthday

  Over 70 years of causing my own grief and breakdowns that seemed impossible to troubleshoot I learned, ALWAYS go back and look at what changed last.  This trip has been on my bucket list for half my life, then the wife had a stroke so all my priorities got flushed down the toilet.  Thanks for sharing.

  Rode from Baton Rouge, La to Fairbanks Alaska in 2008, had a 2005 BMW 1200 GS in my garage with only 8,000 miles, but decided to go on a  2008 Kawasaki KLR 650 because that’s what my riding partner was riding, so we were able to carry plenty spare parts for both bikes between the two of us. It was the trip of my life,  35 days on the road camping where the night was coming. Probably because we took plenty spare parts and tools nothing happened to the bikes. It was a great trip. Looking at this video give me a lots of memories of my trip.

  Being prepared and knowing how to fix things on the side of a road is so important for those who want to do these adventures. I feel like many people on here gloss over that fact in some of these travel vlogs.  I am glad you took some time showing the process instead of just glossing over it. It takes more than just knowledge too. You have to bring the right tools/parts (but not too many), have a plan b/c set, and have the emotionally intelligence to not get frustrated and make things worse.
