  1984 wasn&apos;t about what was coming, he was talking about what was already happening. None of this is new- just the technology made it faster.

  If you haven&apos;t read 1984 because you are 90% sure you get the gist of it and you are familiar with the concepts already, I really encourage you to read it anyway. It will blow your mind. I wish it was compulsory reading in schools

  Orwell was right about the end game but Huxley had a far more accurate prediction about the mechanisms that would get us there.
