My first motorcycle in 1981 was the Yamaha Maxim 650 with shaft drive. I have had 20 bikes in total and at least half have been shaft drive. Maybe my most fun was a 97 Honda Valkryie. The last bike I had and sold in August after back surgery was a Honda VTX 1300R made here in Ohio at Marysville. as I went to 3 wheels Can Am Spyder F3. Never had one problem with any shaft drive.

They might be dirt-cheap in the US but they're not cheap here in the UK.

Statt die Kawasaki Vulcan 750 in die Liste zu nehmen, hätte man besser die VN 1600 Mean Streak aufführen sollen. 1600 ccm, 125Nm, 73 PS, Einspritzpumpe, zwei Scheibenbremsen vorne, eine hinten. Topbike, durchzugsstark und bequem. Bei langsamer Fahrt in engen Kurven durch seine Länge und sein Gewicht etwas schwierig zu händeln, daher für Anfänger, meiner Meinung nach, eher ungeeignet.

You're wrong on your facts about the Yamaha Virago.<br>The 535cc also had shaft drive . It was the 250cc version that was chain driven.

Cruisers are not for everyone. Consider the Honda Duville or many other standard bikes that had shafts
