  Tried it for myself and got up to 65k pops. Full sized buildings, no crossing roads and almost exclusively zoning residential seems to be the key. High residential demand stays high as long as there is enough students, no taxes and happiness is good. This is even though there was a 50% unemployment rate, no commercial and no industrial zones.<br><br>It is likely possible to push it a bit further by min- maxing which services you need to keep happiness high and how many schools you need in order to create demand for high density residential. I would guess the limit is around ~80k pops because there literally wouldn&apos;t be any more space for residential zones.

  you could increase population even more by using the 6x6 high densities. that would minimize street grid intersections

The traffic is artificially generated to create challenges, so there’s always some flow of vehicles moving alongside your city’s traffic. But if you have like ten exits, of course the traffic is going to be a mess.
