  Partition in 1921. Nationalists left exposed in 1969. And now, in 2026, the same question hangs over us again: when pressure comes, will Dublin actually stand up for northern nationalists or will we be left to fend for ourselves once more? At some point, someone in the Free State government has to show a backbone.

  1 - DUP leader posted the paratrooper flag when soldier f verdict was announced <br> <br>2 - DUP communities minister has already been convicted for breaching ministerial code this year when the race riots were ongoing and he posted the location of the migrants sheltering in a leisure centre <br> <br>3 - No mention of the illegal bonfires flags and other issues that the PSNI currently ignore <br><br>4 - walked into a Bryson trap by even running with an issue from a parade that was largely consigned to the past and have said MON has broke the law when only the PPS and PSNI can decide <br> <br>5 - same PPS considered that no office was committed over the funeral - lack of clarity in regulations and prior engagement with police. The issue is closed and has been replayed to the death over the years <br> <br>The DUP should sit this one out and move into 2026

  Our political classes on all &nbsp;sides love to get up on their hind legs and deliver the predictable, the outrage, the statesman... &nbsp; it diverts from their deep failings and unpopularity across the country. It deflect from the questions they are being asked every day year in year out. it gets them off the hook. The real question you should be asking here, is who let this go ahead and why. Pause at that one. Who thought a bit of old school division was needed. Look at this through green or orange glasses and you&apos;ll miss the divide and conquer.
