Few things in this life are as satisfying as knowing exactly which video you’re going to watch during your lunch break at work

What killed Part 3 was the studio refusing to pay Robert Duvall his asking price. The trilogy always seemed to be building to a Michael and Tom confrontation so when they lost Duvall, the true heart and emotional centrepiece of the movie (and the trilogy) went with him.

As Sofia Coppola once said that she has more passion in filmmaking than acting so it's good to hear that the criticism for her Godfather III performance didn't destroy her

“Your father would never have cast you if he didn’t think you could do it” is actually so heartbreaking. Because she COULDN’T do it. And what happened was 100% his fault.

The insight into Life Without Zoe being strongly influenced by Sofia was just lovely. Francis may not have made the best decision for her with GFIII, but collaborating with her on New York Stories shows he obviously nurtured her talent.

I'm glad Sofia didn't lose passion for filmmaking after all this.

I know the focus was on Sofia’s acting but when I first saw this movie as a teenager I couldn’t get over Mary messing around with her cousin without the movie being based in 1850😅😅😅

Godfather III should have been made in the 70s, around ‘76, when the momentum of the first two was still going. They waited far too long

Sofia Coppola went from being dunked on as the "worst performance of all time", to winning an Oscar and earning a reputation as a groundbreaking director for female filmmakers, and an auteur in her own right.<br><br>Seems obvious who had the last laugh

I felt that the first cousin romance was more of a weakness of the film than Sofia's performance.

Why is Paramount never held accountable for the result of the movie. They didn't want to pay Duvall what he was asking. Coppola wanted another six months to work on the script. Paramount could've put more time and money into it but they didn't.

Sofia was the least of that movie's problems. The script was the worst.
