  My favourite era my long term save game (what you&apos;d call a &quot;forever save&quot;) was the Great Vampire Genocide of the Generation 30&apos;s. Basically, I had MCCC&apos;s settings allow occults to have children. Vlad had a LOT of children until he died suddenly of the Neighbourhood Stories update (died of electrocution btw). That mean the worlds were filling up with his descendants, some of whom were interbreeding with mermaids and made them immune to the sun. Because the population cap was filling up, regular &amp; non-vampire occult Sims were being deleted (the whole &quot;We&apos;re moving to the forest&quot; message you get) so I took matters into my own hands. <br><br>Recruited a vampire who was related to my family, gave her a luxury apartment in the basement of the mansion they lived in with free access to plasma from the household members. She made a vampire-only Get Together club and would invite the members over in the middle of the day with the entire house locked up so they were forced to be outside. They&apos;d burn to death and die, sometimes with one of my household members in the middle singing for tip money. By the end I had killed somewhere around 200-250 vampires this way. The mutated hybrid ones I had to use other methods. At the end my vampire who assisted me died an honourable death out in the yard at midday. A party was held in memory of her. <br><br>Now that save is 99.9% vampire free. The game spawns new vampires every now and then but I haven&apos;t played on it much since then so guess we&apos;ll have to see how it goes.

  I was constantly starting new saves just to get bored right away. But since I&apos;ve begun the ultimate decades challenge, I&apos;ve been so adicted that there&apos;s no way I&apos;m ever go back to any other save! I started gen 1 at year 1300 and it&apos;s currently year 1420, gen 6 🤩

  I have a family that I&apos;ve been continuing since 2015 and has 17 generations, however I have had to switch save files multiple times to keep it playable. I even used family tree apps to keep track of it 😄

  I&apos;m just starting my forever save, and I love all your points. The milestones is brilliant! I bought your paper planner, I&apos;m a &quot;I have to write it down&quot; kinda person, and have been loving it! It&apos;s been so helpful.

  I started my forever save beacuse I realized that I kept buying the new packs but never actually playing them (I&apos;ve stopped that ever since as well lol). So I figured I had never actually played with Horse Ranch and my founder was this cowboy that started building his ranch, when his son was born I wanted some realistic continuity and realised that I never actually opened a vet shop, so the heir became a Vet and continued building the ranch. Inspired by the fact I never played the Scientific career, the second heir became a scientist, got abducted a trillion times until he got pregnant (though the baby is not the heir). This was around the time Businesses and Hobbies came out, so I&apos;m playing Gen 4 now and my sims opened a scheming Tatoo parlor, got engaged to a werewolf that died of electrocution fixing a TV he broke on a rampage and had a daughter who just aged into a child but, since I was gifted the newest EP, maybe she&apos;ll travel to Moonwood Mill to research her werewolf ancestry, awaken the curse and fall in love with a fairy that&apos;ll help her break it or join a pack or something like that lol.<br><br> My point is, for 4 generations now, I&apos;ve been playing the game in ways I had never done before and I&apos;m having a blast!

  Oh I absolutely LOVE all of these ideas!! <br><br>I’ve been pondering what the best year length would be for a while, and I think I’ll indeed to with the middle option of two weeks per season. <br><br>And the eras and immortals!! I adore it, and it has me so inspired. Thank you, I’m totally going to obsess over that for a while 😍

  I have a forever save that I’ve been playing for around 2/3 years. Some things I do to improve performance is using mccc to delete homeless sims once every season change (I know this sounds bad 😭😭) &amp; to limit the amount of building I do. I delete lots I haven’t used for a while, and try to make lots multifunctional (ex. A plaza with a park, cafe, salon…) I noticed that my save had the most issues when I had a lot of buildings (esp rentals)

  These celebration ideas are too cute. I also need to add my birthday to their calendar because I’m good to them. I think they should shoot off fireworks that day 😂

  I finally realized For Rent was messing up my saves, so I have had to restart at least 5 times recently and loved every family I made. I deleted the pack (I pirate them, so please do not feel bad for me. It&apos;s not a loss for me like the people that have actually paid for it.) Now I make a main save and have an extra one for updates as a backup so I can jump into a save no matter what. Like every save would corrupt as I have a child. Never saw one get past being a child.

  I have the same save file since the Sims 4 came out, its severly broken, i got to many babys, to many Pets and a bunch of the pack Sim died due to the Neighborhood Stories i had turnt on way to long. But i love my save file. <br>Build a Graveyard where you remember your lost Sims, the one you playd for way to long. And when you get bored from one Family just create another Family with a different family Tree. <br>Set yourself Goals you wanna accomplish with your Family, i find the forever save Videos often overwhelming, so many rules they want you to follow but you set your own rules. <br>I love my Sims save because it&apos;s so broken.
