This place broke my heart. The foxes were overcrowded, stressed, and constantly fighting. Some were kept in tiny cages — stacked one on top of another — so urine and waste from the foxes above would drip down onto those below. The cages were filthy, with poor hygiene and completely inadequate living conditions. Several foxes were forced out multiple times just so visitors could pet them.<br><br>Before you go: check the photos and videos on Google Maps reviews — and pay attention to the lowest scores. You’ll quickly see why people rate it so poorly. I strongly advise everyone not to visit. These animals clearly deserve far better. 💔🦊

Japan has largely mastered the art of giving wild but human-adapted local animals their natural space while giving humans a way to enjoy close proximity towards them, in enclosed spaces that don't feel like prison for the animals.

They definetly need more space. Foxes are extremely territorial andnthose tight spaces will lead to lots of fighting and atress for the kitsune.
