Thank you for a unique insight into the history of our Royal House. It is interesting to learn a little about the history of the jewels we have seen worn over the years. <br>King Harald was a truly good-hearted man who always wanted the best for those around him—whether it was his beloved family or children who had suffered violence, whom he invited to the Palace in Oslo, looked each and one of them in their eyes and told, "It is not your fault." These were words they needed to hear again and again—words that carried even greater weight coming from the King himself.<br>King Harald was, in his own right, the most valuable and cherished jewel in our Norwegian treasure chest.

Royals aren't better or worse than most people. Like most people you like them better on a distance but Harald was different. He was like a Leonard Cohen of royals and greeted the environments with a deep sense of warmth and presence and wisdom and poetry that is very rare no matter were you are. R.I.P.

The picture of the late King Harald giving Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra a kiss on her cheek during her birthday gala was just so sweet. He did seem like he was just a really nice person. All of the Scandinavian royals are down to earth. I think in spite of all of the current challenges that have been facing the Norwegian Royal family as of late, King Hakkon VIII will meet them head on and persevere.
