  Snape coughing was a bug where the actual voice files were swapped out by accident. He was supposed to have lines if he caught you snooping around. Unfortunately (or fortunately), that was never fixed, and every PS2 edition of the game has that violent cough as a response instead.

  When I was a kid I used to love flying around on Buckbeak and seeing how long it would take the other two characters to catch up on foot 😂

  With the amount of times Malfoy gets beaten or humiliated in these games, I wouldn’t have been surprised if the Bulk and Skull theme from Power Rangers started playing each time they showed up

  It was something that for some reason I never thought to question or thought was a mistake that occurred just in my playing experience and that it was more appropriate audio of Snape denouncing you when catching you. <br><br>I thought it was the way they handled adults being the ones who caught you, as the prefects had their own line of dialogue for when you were caught, and the suits of armor had their clanking. I thought it was akin to the adults in Charlie Brown for some reason, because every iteration of Snape having to be avoided saw him coughing every time you ran into him. My natural thought process was that they did this as a way to offer some distinction between the types of characters that could catch you in the stealth sections.<br><br>Wouldn’t learn about the files being switched by mistake and the cough being Filch’s, but that does tie together interestingly. I’m assuming the audio of Filch coughing exists as one of many characters that were given a dialogue response cue if you drop a dungbomb in front of the characters.<br><br>In fact, I believe it was said by the same person I learned about the mistake from, in the same thread of the playthrough of Prisoner of Azkaban on PS2 that you can activate or glitch some misplaced, hidden or intended to be cut lines of dialogue by throwing dungbombs at characters, and triggering these audio bits to play. <br><br>Thank you for taking the time to play and make a video about this wonderful game!
