  When my grandson was an infant I filled a glove with rice and would warm in the microwave then place in his back. The warmth and weight of the glove made him think he was still being held. It worked great to transition from being held/rocked to being placed in his crib.

  I grew up overseas in southeast Asia. 99% of the time, I eat sticky rice. Mahatma brand only. Every time I move to a new house, I make a pot of rice to figure out the burners. 2 cups water, 1 cup rice, bring to a boil, stir three times, lower heat, cover until fully cooked. Fluff with fork. Perfect ❤

  My mom was Panamanian. She put bacon grease in your pot and a chopped onion. Cook till dark. Add rice let the rice toast up then add your water and salt. Let all the water disappear then stir put the lid on and turn to low for 20 minutes. Take lid off and fluff. Delicious!

  I&apos;ve been using rice in my tomato bisque for years. It works so much better than flour (also good for GF people), it adds a silky texture you can&apos;t get any other way, it blends perfectly with an immersion blender, and it almost adds a creamy element so you can add less cream at the end! <br>Absolutely foolproof.

  A Chinese friend told me to save the first rinse water for rice, when the water is quite milky. Asian women wash their faces in it for all sorts of dermatological benefits.
