i have a rel t5i in a very small room, a mini 5.1 set up. its 2.2x2.2x2.2 meters its a cube and possibility the worst room ever. i have thick black out curtains dead center rigth side of the room. but the bass is there. you can;t just plonk a sub where all others will go, or how you think. may do this review with rew. you seem to have all of the gear

I am not sure…but I think T9x is an overkill sub for those smaller speakers. Maybe a T7x, or bigger speakers to match the T9x. Speakers sitting on a console is trouble to start with too!

How can you judge a sub when you cant be bothered using speakers stands or any kind of room treatment. Its going to sound shite whatever you do, sort out your room and the basics before judging, christ a least get a big heavy rug.

20 seconds into this vid i could tell it was gonna sound like sheet by just looking at the room and hearing your voice. Tin can city.

Get rid of that huge piece of furniture and put your speakers on stands. It's not the sub causing problems it's the setup.

Not forgetting MJ Acoustics, another 25 year old plus British subwoofer manufacturer. I've got three, tho' one is currently out of commission.
