I'm currently fixing up a 100 series LC. The biggest thing I tell people is fixing rust is no small job, and sometimes a "little bit of surface rust" can turn out to be multi thousand dollar job because it's eaten holes all the way through.

You could also be and old guy building up an 80 on a budget, not just for young guy.<br>I bought one in 95 that was only 2 years old for 40 G. Then traded it in after a few years and down the track had regrets. Then recently picked up a similar GXL to go down memory lane and build.

Bought on in Costa Rica for $10k. Currently going through mechanics and then mods. I've already spent $4,400 in maintenance and I probably need to spend another $2k before mechanically is in perfect shape. Great car to have, though. It's 2026 and they sell for $32k or even $38k if they are in perfect shape.

bought mine in 2016 had 4 owners previous and my dad was one of them, owned it for about 8 years. magicly came across it in 2016 bought it for 5k and have built it up over the years crazy to see the prices they are now
