This isn’t about cheap vs expensive, it’s about pump action vs semi auto. I have a semi auto AK variant that cost under $200 and a pump action almost $1000.

I think it would have been a better comparison if it were the cheapest mass-produce shotgun, and the most expensive mass-produced shotgun. Or a cheap custom shotgun compared to an expensive custom shotgun.

I used a Mossberg 500 when I was a police officer and it required a lot of practice in order to qualify. A Remington 870 was not as difficult; however a Winchester Model 12 was the easiest to stay on target with. At that time we did not have shotguns with a box magazine but it would appear to be quite cumbersome. <br>I can not imagine crawling through a window to clear a house with a shotgun like that.
