The Tunbridge Wells attacker was an ex-soldier named David Kirby. He was caught in 2004 when he was arrested for a different crime.

I think while watching this episode in 1989, my mum told me when the rapes reconstruction came on that I shouldn’t be watching this and sent me to bed. I was 11 at the time but watching these uploads since the first one from 84 reminded me I was watching every single episode from summer 85 at least and we would often sit and watch it as a family as I can remember some if the comments my mum and brother would make. For example, the robbery at Surrey University in which a Renault Fuego was stolen, my brother said “Asking for it if they left the keys in it” and the arson in Northampton where the son of the family was watching Castle Keep, my mum said “ I was watching that film”. <br><br>Going through these is a bit like reliving my childhood.
