Man could've looked up a video of a triop and clipped it in there but instead bought a microscope. Thats commitment right there.

    This was peak!
You educated us about the different species but with a miniature setting, a storyline and “characters”.

The drought. The Rains. The stagnant little pool. The natural evaporation.

The conditions they evolve to survive in are naturally bleak … but you had mercy and STILL enriched them with calcium, protein, and some variance.
What an adventure during their brief little lives.

Are these species found in the wild anywhere anymore?

I normally don’t care about aquarium videos, it’s not something I would seek out, but I came across this video randomly. This was a really great video. I didn’t think I was gonna learn anything today. Thanks for the effort.

PBS can never die, because it lives on in the hearts and minds of creators like you.

I had triops like those as a kid. The first time, I was about 6 or so, and I didn't feed them soon enough because I couldn't see that anything had hatched, and ended up with just one large and mean crustacean that had presumably eaten the whole hatchery, which I found... Uh... Somewhat upsetting, but I learned a good lesson about nature and was still pretty cool. We called her Hannibal, for obvious reasons (I, of course, didn't get the reference; my mum suggested the name, and I thought it sounded cool). I still keep the corpse preserved as a specimen in 70% isopropyl alcohol, which is something of a fucked up psycho thing to do, and I believe that's what she would have wanted.

I fed the next litter a lot earlier, as you can imagine.
