  All Souls Day is actually pretty crazy here... I mean cemetarys are full-pack... it&apos;s like going to a concert... it&apos;s even hard to go from one place to the other because there are just sooo much people..<br><br>and YES there used to be Karaoke everywhere BUT it&apos;s already prohibited because I mean you can just imagine everyone bringing their equipment in the freakin cemetery and it&apos;s just noisy... a lot of people actually don&apos;t mind I mean it&apos;s like an accepted reality but not everyone does so I gues those few ones who complained actually initiated the prohibition... it&apos;&apos;s also undestandable because not everyone has the same way of observing the All Souls Day... others want to make it happy while others are solemn...

  I think people forget when talking about the Philippines as a former Spanish colony that it was through Mexico and not direct from Spain (Acapulco-Manila Galleons) so it explains a lot of the connections

  Filipinos tend to leave a little bit of food behind coz 1)they don&apos;t wanna be the one to &quot;finish the dish&quot;, 2)everyone wants to leave something for someone. Both reasons can be summed up as &quot;wanting to share&quot; though.😅

  Rock salt and monggo are the classic discipline tools of Filipino parents. They made us kneel on it and made us spread out our arms wide with 2 - 3 books in each hand while they sat in front holding a leather belt or a hanger with a tiger look.. haha

  The all souls days goes all the way back to when Mexico as part of Nueva España governed the Philippines as part of Spain.

  I remembered when my mom heard me mimicking the singer at 4 years old she started teaching me how to sing... Kailangan Kita by Piolo Pascual<br>Everyday... She&apos;ll make me sing again and again.. 3x a day.. then take some water to dehydrate my throat.. and yeah... In 19 years...now I can proudly say that I belong to those 90% Filipinos who can sing😆😅
