  I like that the actors who play Elinor and Colonel Brandon appear closer to the ages of their characters in the book than in the 1995 version. At least there&apos;s that.

  Why do they think they have to make them look grubby to be realistic? The Dashwoods were rich and grew up in a huge house which was left to their brother. That doesn&apos;t mean they suddenly became dirty and wore rags, even if they had to reduce their means. <br>Its the one downfall of the Keira Knightly version of P and P. Ok, they weren&apos;t mega rich, but they didn&apos;t live in a slum either. &nbsp;Grrr.

  With all due respect to everyone involved in this one, you can&apos;t improve on Alan RIckman, being the epitome of dashing, on horseback. I&apos;m afraid Ang Lee&apos;s/Emma Thompson&apos;s version is the only one for me.

  Someone mentioned it in a reply, there is a 3 part Sense and Sensibility series from 2008 which I loved. It’s currently on the BBC iPlayer for anyone who has access to it 😊❤

  Why can’t movies trying to do period reenacting hire a hairstylist that can look at a history book and actually get it correct?! The hairstyles were such a hallmark of the periods and the fly away shaggy hair being down was considered most improper - it’s just not a good representation of a Jane Austen movie.
