  In Kandy i dont think there are places made for as tourists traps. Because Kandy people usually dont care abt what tourists likes,dislikes. They living there own life and tourists just visit there. But when you go to the south cost and ella area there are special tourists attraction places.

  I&apos;m sorry to hear about the fall! I never thought about you not having insurance while being a digital nomad. At least medical bills are less expensive overseas!

  Imagine putting an authentic costumes on and doing centuries old traditional dances for a foreign audience labeled as a trap/scam. I mean how dare they show off their culture to a foreign audience, They should totally stop doing it. 😂

  None of these are tourist traps or scams &nbsp;All these are part of the authentic Sri Lankan lifestyle. Every single Sri Lankan experience these cultural and religious rituals from birth to death many times in their lives. No matter whether tourists visit or not these things will continue as they have continued for thousands of years. .Many travel bloggers use the words traps and scams without knowing the real meaning or the definition of the words they literally used. <br>Sri Lanka has three major dance foarms <br>UDARATA. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; ( KANDYAN)<br>PAHATHARATA ( SOUTHERN)<br>SABARAGAMUWA (RATHNAPURA)<br>All these are countinuesly performing all over Sri Lanka at Budhist festivals specially parades. <br>More than thousands parades annually. <br>Also cultural shows are meant for tourists to get to know what Sri Lanka is all about. No one was forced to attend to watch these performances. Tourists themselves choose to watch on their own as they wish .<br>Irespectve of tourists arrivals or not are food culture marsk carving <br>Dancers,art and crafts, rituals and all will countinues. That&apos;s guaranteed.Because almost 500 years of colanisation by westerners couldn&apos;t erase these from our genes and society. <br>Keep exploring and enjoying your journey.<br>Safe and happy <br>❤🇱🇰

  KANDY IS not for TOURISTS!! its for buddhist!! Simple as that! We have been visiting kandy because of tooth relic and now its getting tourists attention! There is nothing really special in kandy other than that!
