  As an 80’s baby when I think of a nuke I always think T2. It’s the only nuke scene that captures the pure terror and scale of a nuclear attack.

  It&apos;s funny that Terminator ranks so highly, because it&apos;s the one nuke that has a rock solid excuse for being unrealistic, given that it happens in a nightmare.

  The Terminator 2 nuke happened in a dream, so it didn&apos;t need to look real. It only needed to look like what the average person thinks a nuke looks like. Despite that, they hit it out of the park, realism wise.

  Fair for them to be harsher on Oppenheimer. Its a movie on the birth of the msot dangerous weapon in human history and it feels like they cheaped out on the big money shot after hours of build up.<br><br>Its probably the scene most people were hoping to see when they heard of an Oppenheimer film

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2AS1FgIprs&amp;t=1533">25:33</a> In the movie, right before the actual nuclear test, there were concerns about the initial implosion to set off the reaction not working. When the actual test occurred, I thought that the reaction had failed to go off and we were just looking at the initial implosion device because it was just flames. Only when the sound hit us and everyone cheered that I realized it was the actual bomb. I was severely underwhelmed for so much build up to the moment.

  Love that our resident nuclear engineer came to the same conclusion as the fan base--that the fridge is the only reason it would get rated down and if you truly ignore it, it should be way up there.
