  Big respect for putting Stoke in such a positive light. The people are the salt of the earth. It really is a shame how bad the government and council have let Hanley get. Was a amazing night out in its day

  I&apos;m Filipino but grew up in Stoke. I was based in Germany when I was in the army and our battalion was full of Staffordshire lads so our cafe used to do oatcakes. It was brilliant.

  I&apos;m not from stoke but moved here a few years ago. Stoke has an edge, it&apos;s a place of hard people but relentlessly friendly and the food is elite. Cheap, food all over the city

  Love that Stoke-on-Trent is known as the five towns when there’s six. Burslem, Longton, Hanley, Stoke-upon-Trent, Tunstall and Fenton. The author Arnold Bennet omitted Fenton from his book series, supposedly because he disliked it! <br><br>You won’t find more salt of the earth folk in Stoke, and the food scene, whilst small atm, is fantastic. You’ve got those featured, little dumpling king, the Vietnamese place near the museum, a new Romanian grill. LOADS of really good curry houses, a Czech restaraunt, Miso in Stoke and more. <br><br>The city has been let down after deindustrialisation and Austerity, but things are slowly starting to turn around I think. Glad to see someone coming to Stoke and showing something positive. Far too many agitators come round and point at brown people and shout ‘decline’<br><br>Thank you dude.

  these are three of my fave places to eat in stoke. great to see the people behind the scenes talking about their businesses and their craft. it’s so important for our city to support one another!!!!! thank you for this :D
