Had the pleasure of seeing this at my local indie cinema, a year or so ago it really is something else. Haunting and beautiful

That’s it guys, you just dropped my favorite episode of any podcast ever. Absolutely unexpected to me my weekly video game podcast covers my favorite movie of all time and then doing it in so deep and insightful way, it’s surreal.
I watched Stalker countless time when I was teenager. I wasn’t even thinking much about what it is about just loving the atmosphere and mystery. Haven’t watched it since (around 20 years) and it was so illuminating hearing you describing scenes that I still remember as if I saw them yesterday but adding so much meaning and context. My old DVD is rather far right not so I shall go and buy new disk right now and watch it ASAP.

Watched it for the first time 3 years ago and read Roadside Picnic 2 years ago. Sounds like Jeremy has wanted to talk about the film for years :P

I'm so happy you guys made a podcast about stalker because when I watched it I had so many feelings about it but it was very hard to put into words. I love being able to hear Jeremy's point of view as I always enjoy his take on things.

I really loved this movie but it went way over my head.

Great talk! I looked it up and there was a film conference in '83 and they had orson and tarkovsky up on stage together. Confirms that Orson at least knew of Tarkovsky. Don't know if he saw any of his films though.

Yojimbo next? Might be a nice watch, since Toshiro Mifune was treated so well in the recent Onimusha. I cannot believe how amazingly Capcom nailed it in Way of the Sword. The Cinematography was unexpectedly great.
