  Abortion was illegal. &nbsp;Baby&apos;s father would NOT have performed an abortion. &nbsp;They had to trust that the &quot;doctor&quot; they found knew what he was doing.

  This is before Roe v Wade &nbsp;(1973) don&apos;t forget. Abortion was illegal and dangerous and sex outside marriage was taboo. Being a single parent (aside from widows) was seen as shameful. &nbsp;That&apos;s why her father was angry but also because he was disappointed that Baby didn&apos;t confide in him.

  Patrick Swayze was a professional dancer, a martial artist, a great horseback rider, a parachute jumper and singer (he sang one of the songs in this movie).<br><br>You should watch Road House and Point Break with Swayze.

  When Neil walks in on Johnny &amp; Baby dancing, Johnny tells him that the staff had been practicing some Latin moves for the final number. THAT’S how everyone was co-ordinated in the final dance. It was literally what they were all going to perform before Neil told him to do the Pachanga instead. <br><br>Makes the ending EVEN BETTER in my opinion!

  Patrick Swayze&apos;s mom was a dancer and dance teacher. She taught him how to dance. Igli, the song Maniac is in a movie called Flashdance.
