What I liked most here was the contrast between humanity’s restraint and the aliens’ arrogance. The humans kept giving them chances to back down, but that patience clearly wasn’t weakness—and once the line was finally crossed, the payoff felt much more satisfying. This kind of “humans choose restraint first, but don’t mistake it for weakness” theme is something I really enjoy working with in my own HFY stories too. 🚀🔥
