  I always think I’ve seen all of the time Team episodes then they drop a new classic special on YouTube. Being an American I hadn’t ever even heard fo Time Team until Covid but now it is my favorite educational show, it’s also probably top 3 of any genre of show and it’s my go to show when I just want background tv on and I sleep to it almost every night as well.

  If Medieval battles were largely melees - and contemporary literature references would suggest this - firing a cannonball into the melee could be devastating.

  If we had Time Team broadcast in America when I was growing up i honestly think I would’ve gone to school for either history or Archaeology with a minor in British history. I love British history and I have learned so much from Tony, Mick, Phil, Stewart, Carenza, Robin, Helen, Jackie and especially learned so much about Roman Britain from Guy and all the rest of the amazing experts that weren’t regular cast members.

  Incredible how they took how you make a barrel, into ironwork and make a gun in a similar process.<br>Quite fascinating.

  I am a retired Electrical Engineer but my first love is History and especially Archeology. I went with my second love which is Engineering because I had a family to support. Now that I am retired I can spend more time on Archaeology and my new fascination Geology.

  I can remember, a couple of decades ago, reading a 1920&apos;s drivers guide for the area that said that a farmer in the flatter fields away from the traditional site had ploughed up relics which made the writer think that the actual site was not on the traditional location. I&apos;m not certain if I still have the source but shall look for it.
