"Hey Sanka, ya dead?" Everyone talks about the Disney movie they watched over and over again when they were a kid; this one was mine.

A movie it is impossible to dislike. Disney added stuff for drama, though - in real life the Jamaicans faced no discrimination from the other teams - in fact they all supported them and purchased their sled for them.

Swiss here. This film is also very popular here in Switzerland. Especially because our team is so prominently featured in the film. Fun fact: 25 years ago (man, am I old...) the brakewoman of the Swiss doubles bobsleigh team was my coworker. In fact, they were training together with the Jamaican men's team at the time. Not the one shown in the film, but a later one.

As a Calgarian, I assure you: these four Jamaican boys, and Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, will forever be considered honourary Calgarians.  We absolutely ADORED these guys and rooted for them!

at the 2022 winter olympics, Jamaica sent a 4 man bobsled team for the first time since 1998 and created a lot of hype that Jamaica had returned after so long

This was an instant classic when it came out. It's such an amazing journey, and the messages of honesty, standing up for yourself, chasing your dreams, and teamwork just made it perfect.

This movie always makes me smile. It's a wholesome, fun movie with a lot of heart. The chemistry with this cast can't be beat. One of John Candy's last roles. The team carrying their sled to the finish line actually happened at the Olympics.
