California has seemingly perfect weather, mild and warm and sunny. Most Californians that move up here aren’t a fan of the weather, the short summers, long winters, and inability to even swim at the beach.

My home town was ruined by environmental issues. Since the 70's it's decline has been devastating. I recently visited my home town and its a shell of what it used to be.

I moved to NC and only lasted 3 years I just moved back to CA a few weeks ago and I have never been happier. I discovered it is true what they say the grass is definitely not always greener on the other side. I missed my beautiful state and am so happy to be surrounded by the redwoods again.

I retired 2 years ago. My wife and I moved from the Bay Area to the California Gold Country. I've visited Oregon a few times and I really like it there but I've got friends and family here. Among my friends who are still working, several have had to return to the office.More than a few had moved away from the Bay Area since Covid and are now forced to either move back or retire earlier than planned.
