I think people misunderstood the question in the beginning. Couldn’t God have created murder as the standard? The standard of morality isn’t something God created. It is something that is a part of his nature. He didn’t arbitrarily create the rule thou shall not murder. If God is a god of life, anything that goes against life naturally goes against his nature. We can apply the same logic to the concept of truth. God didn’t mold or create truth, the same way God created the grass green. God is the embodiment of truth, and therefore all truth comes from God. Therefore anything that goes against the truth is naturally a lie. This is what makes the difference between good and evil. Something isn’t good because God claimed it to be good in the way most people think. Something is good because it reflects God’s nature. Therefore anything evil is what we recognize as lacking goodness.

A lot of these kids really think they have thought it out but when they talk to Cliffee you can tell they haven’t even scratched the surface

I love listening to Cliffe being able to communicate with these students is tough going because of his broad knowledge not only of spiritual awareness he is able to spread spiritual truth of Jesus of Nazareth, to the students also any person watching and listening to his debating. An excellent program.
