How Terraria is The Perfect Videogame (and why Minecraft will never be)

  Ok so it seems like a lot of people are missing the point of this comparison, which is probably my fault for not making it clearer. The point is not to say that &quot;Terraria is better than Minecraft, you shouldn&apos;t enjoy or play Minecraft because Terraria is more fun&quot;. I&apos;m saying that Terraria is the perfect player experience, it does everything that people want a game to do, while Minecraft misses those things pretty hard. Terraria is cheap, there&apos;s basically no monetization, it&apos;s on a convenient launcher (steam), there&apos;s a small team of loving developers who respond to the community, the game has continued to get free updates for over a decade, and modding was made as convenient and accessable as possible for free. Like I said, Minecraft is not impossible to download and play (and mod), but it has enough annoying barriers that will keep far more people from fully enjoying the game. Whereas Terraria has basically none of those barriers. And to take things a step further, Terraria&apos;s development team is practically nonexistent compared to the massive team producing Minecraft, which ultimately is all backed by Microsoft. It&apos;s Bill Gates Vs. Redigit and somehow Redigit is able to absolutley demolish Minecraft in it&apos;s accessibility and ease of use.<br><br>As for why I chose to contrast Terraria&apos;s perfection to Minecraft&apos;s flaws, I mean c&apos;mon I think the best selling video game of all time backed by the ultra giga-corporation Microsoft can handle some criticisms.<br><br>P.S. Making Minecraft models is easier than making Terraria sprites, fight me

  You can see the effort and love put into Terraira from Red (lead dev) himself, his son asked him for a dino mount and he&apos;s like yea sure

  Terraria’s biggest mistake was torch luck and they fixed it and made a cool secret boss out of the way people protested

  while Terraria is only 9.99$ I still managed to spend 50$ on it, not because I bought it from a wrong site or anything. No the reason I spend so much on it is because, I can&apos;t stop gifting it to my friends! Like no one deserves to miss out on this masterpiece of a game!

  One of the kindest things terraria has ever done happened. Re-logic got a call from the make a wish foundation, and they said a boy wanted to have his very own skin, and they actually made it in the update 1.4.5

  The developers of Terraria are legends. They interact with the community often, make cool events and even add fan suggestions into the game, while Minecraft devs barely take a single peep from the community into account.

  Minecraft is a lego set that tells you to explore your limits whereas Terraria gives you a living world with limitless ways to reach its limit. If that makes any sense to anyone else
