  He was worried if his son was like him, he is aware of the way he is and doesn't want his son to go through the hardships he endured because of it. The amount of emotion he shows with just his facial expressions after she reveals he is the dad. This is Tom Hanks' best acting in my opinion.

  Forrest Gump is a really strong character. &nbsp;Literally taking care of both his mom and then his wife till they passed away. &nbsp;Being rejected his whole life and even when he finally has a calm, happy life it only lasts a short time. &nbsp;But he keeps going no matter what.

  The way he was breaking down when he asked &quot;Is he smart or...&quot; and he was going to say &quot;like me&quot;... He was so scared he brought someone into this world that would have to experience hardships like he did 🙏

  She knew he was a success but never asked him for a cent to help raise Jr. I think she felt she didn’t deserve him but time heals. And now facing death, she needed him one last time to look after the most precious thing that they both shared.
