7:35 I actually enjoy Pokemon Challenges talking to his audience in a more mature way. Lots of people don't like it and say the content loses its "fun" aspect by he not being as upbeat as other youtubers, but I think that the way he makes his content adds seriousness to the challenge aspect, which makes it more interesting, at least to me

7:50 this is so true, the main reason I subscribed to PC was seeing a poketuber that doesn't talk down it's audience and have some authenticity

The ending of the video is the purest proof that Jan knows his audience

mandjtv videos are a lot more tolerable when you remember that his target audience is literally children. like 13 and under. that's unironically the kind of energy people enjoy at that age

i love that jan just straight up admits “i’m a 26 year old, everything that i have was either given to me or fell into my lap”, like the level of self awareness is very respectable. a lot of people will have everything handed to them on a silver platter and act like they got to where they are in life all by themselves without even acknowledging all the people who put time, effort, money, and whatever else into them. love you jan ❤️
