I had the opportunity to meet Hal Needham(Director and Writer of Smokey and the Bandit). Needham told me that 85 to 90% of Jackie Gleason's dialogue in the movie was Ad Lib. He said they never knew from one minute to the next what was going to come out of his mouth and it was always hysterical. A True Comedy Genius.

I was 9 years old when this movie graced the silver screen. Sitting there with my popcorn and Coke not realizing I was about to watch one of the greatest movies of all time.
