The whole video I'm thinking..."Are they ever going to let the other guy talk?" And then he does.....And now I get it. Wow, that's tough. Thank you for your sacrifice gentlemen.

When Jocko read the part where he wrote “Nobody else could have handled it.” I was like “Uhh I mean maybe dude but that sounds like a pretty bold statement.” Then I heard the electronic voice and almost cried.

The film doesn’t discuss this but Elliott was in a coma for about a month after being injured and has said that he didn’t remember a lot about the battle which is one of the motivations for Ray to make the movie

I found a bit of dark humor when the anglico guy accidentally gave himself morphine. There’s two officers in the room and one is concussed and the other one is high. Leadership has broken down. And then they kinda regain it when the other team/platoon shows up

Edit: I should be clear that I don’t wanna make light of what happened. It was just a brief moment of levity, before all the screaming and horror took over again. Brutal movie.

Warfare is less of a movie and more of an immersive experience with funny highs and grueling lows. I saw someone say it was the best movie they never wanted to see again.

I remember that day. I was in a M1 Abram’s tank (x2) about ten city blocks away listening to the radio traffic going back to Camp Corregidor prior to the IED (30 min) and offered to respond and was denied. No doubt my two tanks would have made a difference.

I served with Elliott when he was a Cpl. Bravo Company 3rd LAR. Great human being. Moral compass always pointed North.

I'm an old man and when Elliott spoke it brought tears to my eyes. Don't know why. Maybe it was listening to such an unselfish man who gave it everything. He was built differently than the rest of us.

Elliott’s speech at the end destroyed me. Truly a man of powerful character.
