What do you think about how Superman is written? Does Superman’s altruistic way bring hope, or is it just rational self-interest to prove he’s good?

Rand’s theory is for human “heroes” but Superman is super human so one could argue that theory doesn’t hold.

Commenting before watching, one of my favorite Superman stories is out of the recent Superman/Spider-Man crossover comic that has Spidey lifting the building that came down on both of them, and to focus, he asks Clark to speak with him. Then, after sharing their words and escaping, Peter and May are invited over to the Kent's farm for a family dinner. It makes me smile, I wanna get one of the variant covers of the comic and frame it so it can be hung in the living room of my parents and my home because Dad's favorite hero is Superman, and mine is Spider-Man

Great video analysis, it's an interesting take. So do you think Superman is good?

What makes him Superman
it's not the powers, the costume, the symbol, his alien heritage or the American way.

It's the fact that no matter how dark, how cold, how cruel the world may seem, he will always do the right thing.

People call him many things, hero, messiah, alien, invader, foreigner, menace, god, guardian, sentry, virtue, champion, omnipotent, man of steel, man of tomorrow, the last son of Krypton, the world's greatest superhero.

But he is........

Above all else.........

A Good man.
