  You left out one of the most important points. The police in this movie represent another gang.  They wear blue and carry weapons and were another obstacle for the Warriors to get home.

  What I love is the fact that there are various Japanese bands that take their names from the gangs of this movie.

  A couple of points. 1. The Warriors is based on an ancient Greek story called "Anabasis." Anabasis is about a group of 10,000 Greek mercenaries who are contracted to fight on behalf of Cyrus, who was struggling with his brother for the crown of Persia. But as soon as the battle started, Cyrus was killed and his army routed. The victorious army wanted revenge on the 10,000 for getting involved so they had to fight their way back home to Greece to survive. 2. The movie is based on a book (which is based on the ancient story) by the same name. The book is very much worth reading even though it is far darker than the movie. For example, in the book, no police came to rescue that woman in the park.

  I love how the gangs within this movie almost function like tribes.<br>and adopt the same aesthetic style and vibe. It’s very cool.

  Turnball AC&apos;s bus chase with all the members screaming and whirling items is also essentially a translation of a scythed wheeled chariot attack, which makes sense with the idea behind the Warriors being the Anabasis of Xenophon, and scythed wheeled chariots were used in the battle where his employer, Cyrus, was killed.

  The baseball furies symbolize the fact they are all wearing baseball uniforms….single most high statement ever made on YouTube.

  I remember one of the lines from the opening when Cowboy is talking to Vernon. &quot;If we&apos;re wearing our colors we can&apos;t hide.&quot; Vernon replies &quot;Who wants to hide?&quot;

  The Baseball Furies were my favourite simply because they were silent and creepy. Their appearance is so simple, yet they had the best presence. They were so unnerving and their chase sequence was like no other.
