6:25 I have osteoarthritis of the knees. Still, I'm an active long-distance runner. I complete most of my training mileage by power walking on a treadmill at 4+ miles/hour at an incline percentage of 6-12%+. You're absolutely correct. Running/walking on an incline is a God-send for knees.
I reserve my actual running for my long-run day and also race day.

I’ve committed myself to running the “skyline trail” in Jasper, Alberta (44km 1500m elevation) solo as my first “race”.
Only running against myself on this one though.

It’s normally a 2-3 day hike that must be booked and incredibly competitive to get a spot before they’re all reserved.
Persons on the trail at any one time are limited.

Will get to finish at Maligne lake. I’m going to jump right in the cold lake as a finish line!

Excited to run it instead, and your videos have been a tremendous help in building a training routine. Thanks so much for the content! Completely hooked on running, trail running. Excited to sign up for more races in the future.

(Doing the run mid-end August if anyone wants to come with.)

This was great Jeremy! I ran two 100-mile races. And hadn't really trained outside of 8k and 10k runs around my neighborhood. A coworker asked me to pace so I joined. But my quads were annihilated at mile 22..I made it to 102 miles somehow but this is super helpful since I'm going to really train for these ultras now! 💯

I've enjoyed the dramatic improvement in my quality of life while pursuing endurance training. In this pre-season to my second marathon build ive been focusing more time in recovery, and maintaining my nerves day in and day out.

Awesome to see the Grouse Grind! The Sedin Brothers of the Vancouver Canucks did the grind 11 times in one day 😮
